Bonjour Jean-Marie,
– Peux-tu nous dire quelques mots pour te présenter ?
Je m’appelle Jean-Marie Blanchard, j’ai 40 ans, 2 enfants, je suis chef d’entreprise, agent de sécurité, président du club de baby foot les Coyotes et sélectionneur de l’équipe de France de Baby foot. J’habite à Evry, en région parisienne.
– Comment es-tu arrivé au baby foot ? Depuis quand joues-tu ?
J’ai commencé à 15 ans dans la maison de quartier après le collège. J’avais déjà un bon niveau mais je ne connaissais pas du tout le monde du baby foot pro. En allant faire une compétition inter-quartier à Evry, j’ai rencontré le président du club des Coyotes de l’époque. J’ai gagné cette compétition et le président m’a proposé de rejoindre son club qui était alors dans Paris. Je n’y suis pas allé, cela faisait trop loin pour moi.
Une dizaine d’années plus tard, je le rencontre à nouveau, par hasard, il me dit que le club des Coyotes est désormais à Evry. J’y suis allé tout de suite 2 fois par semaine. Aujourd’hui je suis le président des Coyotes d’Evry.
– Quel est ton palmarès ?
Champion de France en double en 2011
Champion de France des clubs en 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 et 2016
Double champion d’Europe en 2014 et 2015
Vice champion d’Europe en 2013 et 2016
Vice champion du monde en 2015
– Quel est ton meilleur souvenir en tant que champion ?
Incontestablement, le championnat de France en 2011 en double avec mon ami et partenaire de toujours Benjamin Zurak !
C’était la fin de saison, nous étions crevés et on a joué comme 2 potes sans faire attention à l’étape à laquelle on était. Ca a été super serré mais on a gagné toutes nos parties. On a beaucoup ri, on a passé un super moment ensemble, c’est vraiment mon meilleur souvenir.
– Comment vois-tu évoluer ce sport ?
Je le vois évoluer dans le bon sens, avec des nouveaux arrivants, comme Marius par exemple. Le nombre de licenciés augmente, le nombre de clubs augmente aussi, la fédération ITSF a plein de nouveaux projets pour les clubs. Chacun, à son niveau, apporte au monde du babyfoot !
Le problème est au niveau de l’Etat, le football de table reste un loisir et n’est pas considéré comme un sport. J’aimerais que le baby foot soit reconnu comme un sport au niveau du Ministère des Sports, que la fédé ait plus de moyen, qu’il y ait plus de sponsoring et plus de communication autour du babyfoot.
– Tu as participé à la conception du premier baby foot de la marque Marius, comment cela s’est-il passé ?
J’ai rencontré le fondateur à l’occasion de la coupe du monde de baby foot de Turin en 2015, le contact est bien passé. Il m’a parlé de son idée de faire un baby foot français, haut de gamme. L’idée m’a tout de suite plu parce que cela apporte un vent de fraicheur dans le monde du baby.
– Concrètement, comment as-tu collaboré avec eux ?
Le but était de faire un bon baby foot français amateur et pas de faire un baby foot de compétition car il existe beaucoup de différences.
En gros, je leur ai donné les éléments techniques importants des baby foot haut de gamme, on a rédigé un cahier des charges. Nous nous sommes rencontrés à plusieurs étapes du processus de fabrication. J’ai participé à ce projet avec enthousiasme.
– Demain, aimerais-tu jouer sur un Marius en compétition ?
Pour l’instant la question ne se pose pas mais c’est peut être une prochaine étape pour cette nouvelle marque !
Nous, les pros, on a nos habitudes sur les tables de compétition, nos baby foot préférés, les tables sur lesquels on est meilleur et il n’est pas facile d’en sortir.
– Que peut-on te souhaiter pour 2017 ?
Des résultats en baby foot, en individuel et au sein de mon club, que le baby foot de table progresse dans les mentalités et plein de bonnes choses pour la marque Marius !
